Detection of Mycoplasma Contamination by conventional PCR

    General description
Lookout® One-Step Mycoplasma PCR Detection Kit is a kit for direct detection of mycoplasma contaminations in cell cultures, cell culture media, and other biological matrices by conventional PCR. Designed to require minimal pipetting, the kit includes all reagents required for PCR: primers, nucleotides, polymerase and the internal amplification control, which are provided in a ready-to-use lyophilized reaction mix. Upon rehydration with the included buffer, the mix is ready to be dispensed into the reaction tubes according to the sample number. Only samples or controls need to be added prior to PCR.

    Specificity
    Type of PCR:
For conventional, endpoint PCR with gel electrophoresis
Result Evaluation: Gel electrophoresis at endpoint of PCR

    Application
Applicable in research and industry for direct testing of cell cultures and biologicals. Intended for research use only. Not recommended for clinical diagnostics or testing of human samples.

    Components
    Kit Components:
Lyophilized Mix (Primer sets / Nucleotides / Internal Control DNA and polymerase at optimized concentrations in aliquots of 25 or 100 reactions each Rehydration Buffer)
    Lyophilized Positive Control DNA
    PCR Grade Water

    Reconstitution
Lyophilized OneStep Mix is reconstituted in 600μl Rehydration Buffer; Lyophilized Positive Control DNA is reconstituted in 300μl PCR Grade Water
    Storage and Stability
Store the unopened components at +2 °C to +8 °C until the expiry date indicated on the label. Once rehydrated, the components must be stored at ≤ -18 °C.
